Duties

Help
  • Perform analysis, evaluation, and oversight of all aspects of the planning, programming, budgeting and execution of major Project Management program.
  • Serve as an expert advisor to management concerning the analysis and evaluation of major administrative-technical and program aspects of substantive mission-oriented programs.
  • Lead special study teams and task forces with members from different organizations and commands in support of budgeting and execution drills.
  • Represent the organization at meetings and briefings regarding assigned programs and projects.
  • Initiate action to ensure that cost and schedule procedures and policies are current and implemented.

  • This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure and annually thereafter in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5500-7-R.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a two year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 15% of the time.
  • This position requires Level II certification in Acquisition Career Field "Business - Financial Management" or the incumbent must be able to obtain certification within 24 months of entrance on duty.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Determining the feasibility of spending plans in respect to resource utilization and overall program process; 2) Preparing summaries of narrative, quantitative, and statistical data in budget forms, schedules, and/or reports; and, 3) Providing financial advisory services for one or more funding lines or types of funds in accordance with agency acquisition and life cycle management policies, procedures, and practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-02 (GS-11).

Education
