Duties

Help
  • You will provide administrative support to the Provost Marshal Office (PMO)/Deputy Provost Marshal Office, PMO Staff of the Security Operations, Physical Security, Training, Administrative and Logistics functions.
  • You will prepare a variety of reports, correspondence and maintains required records from tasks such as PMO Staff personnel records, recall rosters, maintain calendars for scheduled meetings.
  • You will provide assistance to department personnel with the Defense Travel System (DTS) or successor system, process travel requests, assist with travel arrangements travel vouchers.
  • You will perform safeguarding, controlling, protection and destruction of all classified and sensitive information maintained by the PMO and Visitor Control Center (VCC).
  • You will assists and guide staff in the procedural work of the office and in the preparation of correspondence. You will also review documents for conformance with regulations, grammar, format and special policies.
  • You will ensure that all references and enclosures are properly identified and attached appropriately to correspondence and briefing material.
  • You will assembles and collect data as required and work closely with staff members to assist in finalizing drafts of all office documents and correspondence.
  • You will screen, review and process installation pass requests.
  • You will ensure personnel are not passport holders from the list of countries prohibited from gaining access to U.S. Installations.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-04) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector reviewing and processing requests for security clearances, performing security assistance duties (e.g. information, personnel, industrial and physical security), and monitoring access restricted areas.

Education


For GS-5 level positions (except Clerk-Stenographer, which does not require specialized experience), only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours (i.e., beyond the second year) is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement. One full academic year of study (30 semester hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
