Students who have been accepted for enrollment or who are enrolled at least half-time in an accredited high school, college, professional, technical, vocational, or trade school pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate.
Prepares non-technical correspondence and recurring reports in final form by collecting and compiling data and other information from unit files, and from personal knowledge of unit programs. Responsible for verifying discrepancies.
Maintains and oversees RFA tracking database, including associated e-files.
Provides information received from National Program Leaders (NPL) to the web page designer to keep unit Webpage entries current.
Contributes to larger agency efforts by participating in employee committees/teams to improve agency performance and morale.

PATHWAYS ELIGIBILITY
Applicants must be currently enrolled or accepted for enrollment from a qualifying educational institution on a full or half-time basis. Applicants must be seeking a degree (diploma, certificate, etc.) and be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or equivalent) throughout the duration of their program. Please see "Required Documents". The duties of the position must be related to either the student's academic or career goals. Related degrees may include Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, History, Geography, and Human Sciences.
At the GS-04:
Completion of 2 full academic years of post-high school study or an associate's degree.
Education
You must submit a copy of your college transcripts. An unofficial copy is sufficient with the application if it includes your name and the necessary course information; however, if you are selected, you will be required to submit official transcripts prior to entering on duty. Education must have been successfully obtained from an accredited school, college or university. If any education was completed at a foreign institute, you must submit with your application evidence that the institute was appropriately accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as equivalent to U.S. education standards. This is a temporary, excepted service position not-to-exceed 6 months or less and may be extended in increments not-to-exceed 1 or less for up to 8 years in total, when the student intern remains eligible for the program.
Student Interns must continue to meet the Pathways Program requirements throughout the duration of the appointment. Incumbents will be required to provide proof of continued enrollment and good academic standing (G.P.A. of 2.0 or equivalent) each semester or grading period throughout the internship program. Failure to do so will result in termination of the appointment. Upon completion of all program requirements, Pathways Interns may be converted to a term, career-conditional or career appointment within 120 days following successful completion of all their education; however, conversion is not guaranteed.
This internship is temporary and therefore does not have promotion potential.
