Duties

Help
  • Assigned tasks and/or projects of limited scope and complexity designed to develop skills and proficiency.
  • Conduct independent and thorough research to identify relevant regulations, policies, and federal statutes.
  • Distinguish facts from hearsay and provide reports of investigations to IG and agency senior leaders, Senior Executive Service, and General Officers.
  • Identify recommendations for presentation by the IG to DISA senior officials, in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of global multimillion dollar programs and operations.
  • Manage the worldwide DISA IG Hotline Program throughout all of DISAs components, locations, and programs involving all security classification levels.

Qualifications

Specialized Experience:

One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade, GS-11 within the Federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.

Specialized experience is defined as experience conducting criminal and civil investigations to include planning, gathering evidence, conducting interviews and writing reports over multiple jurisdictions.

Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Education is not substitutable for specialized experience for this grade level.
