Duties

As a/an Investigative Program Coordinator, you will:

  • perform a range of investigative and administrative tasks to support the OIG's mission in connection with investigations of alleged or suspected violations of Federal rules, regulations, or laws relating to the programs and operations of HUD.
  • participate in investigative research and analysis.
  • provide assistance and advice in handling, identifying, and collecting computer-related evidence; determining other avenues of technical or professional help available; and determining whether data recovery or media analysis activities merit further technical assistance.
  • research and provide information from Department data systems, case managements system(s), indices and investigative files, perform document request searches involving specific and numerous case files, and provide case analysis and findings to appropriate personnel.
  • organize and conduct detailed examinations of information generated during complex criminal/civil investigations and information available through alternative sources, for the purpose of conducting financial analyses of personal/business assets of targeted organizations and individuals.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-12, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

  • Providing support for administrative functions for a program office; AND
  • Using tracking systems to document receipt of information and/or to monitor deadlines; AND
  • Communicating administrative information with a variety of internal and/or external recipients; AND
  • Making recommendations to improve the efficiency of policies and/or procedures.

Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-12, you must have been at the GS-11level for 52 weeks.

Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
