Duties

Help

  • Leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of DCP's knowledge management program; and coordinates with employees, managers, and executives throughout DCP and Corporate University to initiate the development of training, communication, or other efforts to support DCP goals and initiatives, and to assess the efficacy of these efforts.
  • Works with external stakeholders, such as other regulatory agencies, regulated financial institutions, trade associations, professional organizations, and community groups, to recognize and meet new knowledge needs and to leverage DCP knowledge to promote external stakeholder knowledge of consumer protection and community reinvestment responsibilities.
  • Provide oversight of DCP's communication program to notify staff of changes in regulations, procedures, guidance, or other emerging issues. Ensures that the regulatory calendar, regulatory segments, and discussion boards are updated on the internal website, Works with OPA and others to leverage these resources to inform and educate external stakeholders, where appropriate.
  • Leads the team in; identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established work flow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; malting adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities ensuring timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee has an integral role in developing the final team product.

Qualifications

Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic, religious/spiritual; community; student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the CG-14 grade level or above in the Federal service.  Specialized experience is defined as experience in leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of a knowledge management program; and coordinates with employees, managers, and executives to initiate the development of training and communication programs that promote knowledge sharing.

1.  Ability to apply a wide range of training and development and knowledge management principles, concepts, practices, and policies to organize, develop, and obtain new training programs and communication strategies in collaboration with Corporate University and other Division employees.

2.  Knowledge of external stakeholders related to DCP's functions, including understanding of the mission, objectives, and organizational structure of trade associations, professional organizations, other banking regulatory agencies, and community groups.

3.  Ability to meet and interact with individuals at high levels within and outside of the FDIC to develop, implement innovative or unique programs to meet the knowledge interests and needs of a diverse set of internal and external stakeholders.

4.  Knowledge and understanding of the Corporation's organization and function, operating programs and objectives with specific emphasis on business and strategic planning, financial management reporting and program analysis.
