Duties

Help

The following are the duties of this position at the GS-7. If you are selected at a lower grade level, you will have the opportunity to learn to perform all these duties, and will receive training to help you grow in this position.
- Assist in enforcing permit provisions of the Federal Alcohol Administration Act (Title 27 U.S.C.) and the permit, bond and registration provisions of chapters 51 and 52 of the Internal Revenue Code (Title 26 U.S.C.) related to alcohol and tobacco.
- Assist in determining and reviewing adequacy of industry member's bond coverage to guard against loss of revenue.
-Analyze transaction reports, variance requests, trade name additions, and claims, etc.
- Assist in studies and evaluates original applications and amendments submitted by persons seeking permission to commence, change or terminate their businesses under laws and regulations relating to the alcohol and tobacco industries.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

Experience reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining financial documents for accuracy and validity, identifying significant factors, and recommending solutions.

Specialized Experience: For the GS-06, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes:

Experience reviewing, analyzing, or maintaining financial documents for accuracy and validity.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Rating: Your application will be evaluated in the following areas: Technical, Administrative Management, and Communication.
