Summary

Serves as an expert and provides leadership in carrying out Organization, Agency and Departmental nutrition and nutrition education goals.
Develops nutrition education and training resources to support the Federal Nutrition Programs using multiple communications channels.
Identifies and interrelates new developments that may affect the goal, operation, and effectiveness of Federal Nutrition programs in terms of nutritional services, nutrition education and food service systems management.
Develops and administers grants, contracts, and cooperative and interagency agreements to meet the goals of the Federal Nutrition Programs.
Provides expert advice to program operators, industry, professional associations, and Congress on how foods fit within Child Nutrition meal patterns and/or WIC food packages.

Qualifications
Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.
To qualify for the GS-13 level, your resume must clearly demonstrate that you have one full year of specialized experience comparable in difficulty and responsibility to at least the GS-12 level in the federal service.

Communicating nutrition information for the public using digital platforms and channels.
Analyzing the nutritional content of food products.

Summarizing, analyzing and/or applying scientific evidence and data to inform programmatic priorities.
Communicating orally and in writing with a wide array of audiences, including senior leadership, managers and staff, policy makers, program partners, and nutrition professionals in order to provide subject-matter expertise and leadership in carrying out Organization, Agency and Departmental nutrition and nutrition education goals.
