STEP 1- Qualify with Application and/or Resume.
You must meet the experience requirements described above under Qualifications. Your application and/or resume must clearly demonstrate your relevant experience to qualify. You must include employer, position title, position start and end date (MM/YY to MM/YY), pay grade (as applicable) for each position listed.
All volunteer positions must also include the total weekly hours worked during position start and end date.
STEP 2 – Answer REQUIRED Assessment Questions.
Prepare responses to the REQUIRED Assessment Questions below.
Responses should be labeled a., b., c. etc. and include ALL applicable employers, position titles, position start and end dates (MM/YY to MM/YY), pay grades (as applicable) and provide detailed information that supports your knowledge, skill and ability asked for in the Assessment Questions.
All volunteer positions must also include the total weekly hours worked during position start and end date.
Qualified applicants will be evaluated on the degree to which they possess the knowledge, skill and ability listed in the Assessment Questions below.
a. Describe work experience that demonstrates your ability to provide guidance to managers, employees and applicants in the area of human resources policies and procedures.
b. Describe work experience that demonstrates your skills in processing personnel actions and querying data within a Human Resource Management System (HRMS) or employee database such as PeopleSoft.
c. Describe work experience that demonstrates your ability to perform clerical work in support of human resources operations.

Upload resume with the REQUIRED responses to the above-REQUIRED Assessment Questions (Step 2) as the last page of your resume.
OR
Submit application and/or Upload resume AND upload the REQUIRED Assessment Questions (Step 2) as an attachment to your profile under “My Job Applications”. Please name the file “Assessment Questions-Job Title-Job #”.
Note: You will not be prompted by the online system to upload your REQUIRED Assessment Questions; therefore,you must use one of the two methods outlined in Step 3. Failure to include REQUIRED Assessment Questions will result in your application being considered incomplete, and you WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED for the position.
STEP 4- If prior military, upload a copy of your DD214 Member 4 or Service 2 Copy as an attachment to your profile under “My Job Applications” https://careers.usmc-mccs.org/.
STEP 5- If applicable, upload a copy of your *Spouse Preference form, copy of PCS orders, and copy of marriage certificate (unless the spouse is named on the PCS orders) as an attachment(s) to your profile under “My Job Applications” https://careers.usmc-mccs.org/.
Spouse Preference Program: (May be requested for positions graded NF-3 and below or equivalent) Spouses of relocating active duty military members applying through Spouse Preference Program must upload all documents listed above in Step 5. Spousal Preference applicants hired in a flexible position will not lose their spousal preference eligibility until movement or hired into a regular Full-Time or Part-Time position.
