Summary
You will serve as a HEALTH TECHNICIAN (OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY) in the Department of Physical Therapy of NMRTC SAN DIEGO CA.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Planning individualized treatment plans for patients on the orthopedic ward, in accordance with standard occupational therapy practices, ensuring appropriate progressions;
Providing direct therapeutic care by administering occupational therapy, and engaging participates in purposeful activities to enhance patient functional restoration in a reasonable time-frame;
Maintaining all clinical modalities/equipment including cleaning, adjusting or modifying crutches, splints or braces;
Educating patients, family members, and support staff regarding specific rehabilitation needs, limitations, expectations, and compliance with stated therapeutic goals.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
