Inspection Service Directorate:
The Inspection Service Directorate's mission is to promote accountability and provide improvement opportunities to the United States Postal Inspection Service (USPIS) and its stakeholders. The Inspection Service Directorate examines the efficiency and effectiveness of the USPIS in supporting and protecting the U.S. Postal Service, its employees, infrastructure, and customers. The Inspection Service Directorate accomplishes its mission by conducting reviews and audits.
Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.
This position is being advertised at the Manager Band level, equivalent to a GS-14. The salary range for this position is $122,530.00 - $159,286.00. The salary figures include locality pay.

The candidate will provide a full range of supervision to staff and manage other related projects as assigned. The candidate will be highly motivated and demonstrate experience in planning, conducting, and executing performance audits and other complex tasks and assignments.
