Summary

You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER at the Fleet Readiness Center West (FRCW) in Lemoore, CA. The mission of FRCW is to strengthen operational readiness and combat capabilities of Naval Aviation weapons systems through expeditious repair of aircraft, engines, and components.

Duties

Help
  • You will serve as an Administrative Officer supervising personnel and managing administrative functions.
  • You will provide guidance to clerical personnel involved in electronic and paper correspondence, filing, and record keeping
  • You will oversee travel arrangements for senior military officers
  • You will prepare and evaluate budgets for travel, training, and administrative functions
  • You will plan and coordinate meetings, ceremonies, and events
  • You will provide administrative management of evaluation and awards programs
  • You will provide command liaison on Human Resource matters including timekeeping, staffing levels, and training requirements

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
performing research, analysis, and decision making to manage or assist in managing an Administrative Department with responsibility to ensure the proper operation and performance of the following functions:
- ensuring accurate and timely flow of incoming and outgoing correspondence (electronic and paper)
- providing guidance to clerical personnel involved in typing, filing, and record keeping (electronic and paper)
- reviewing outgoing correspondence prepared for signature by senior company officials or military officers
- providing administrative management of evaluation and awards programs
- overseeing travel arrangements for senior company officials or military officers
- preparing and evaluating budgets for travel, training, and administrative support functions
- planning and coordinating meetings, ceremonies, and events
- providing staff/command liaison on Human Resource matters including timekeeping, staffing levels, and training requirements

Education

You may qualify by substituting education for experience if you have the following:
Have successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
OR
Have successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
OR

OR
Have a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience. My percentage of the required education plus my percentage of the required experience equal one hundred percent.
