Candidates will be evaluated on the skills that they possess that are directly related to the duties of the position and/or the experience, education and training that indicate the applicant's ability to acquire the particular knowledge and skills needed to perform the duties of the position. The USPS OIG uses a Pay Banding system, which is equivalent to the Federal GS scale. Grade and salary determinations will be made based upon a candidate's education and professional experience.
This position is being advertised at the Administrative Band level. The base salary range for this position is $14.62-$17.61/hour. Locality Pay is authorized.
Sophomore $14.62 per hour plus locality pay
Junior/Senior $15.54 per hour plus locality pay
Graduate or Law Student $17.61 per hour plus locality pay

The successful candidate will assist the Office of Investigations - Investigative Operations Center in support of field investigations throughout the nation. In this position the successful candidate will assist with the creation and maintenance of SharePoint sites, analyze existing SharePoint sites, provide recommendations on improvements, and possess the ability to execute those improvements. The candidate will also assist with creating workflows and helping improve investigative processes. The successful candidate may assist with automating and improving the following program areas: quality review assessments, law enforcement vehicles, threat management, training, and asset forfeiture. Lastly, the candidate will assist with writing articles and content for SharePoint sites.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate background Investigation (MBI) clearance
Must be able to work a minimum of 10 hours per week during core business hours (9 am ? 3 pm), candidates who do not have availability during Core Business Hours will not be considered for this position.

Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
You must meet ALL of the minimum requirements.
Students must be currently enrolled full or half-time in an accredited college or university program, classified or academically ranked by semester hours as a Sophomore, Junior, Senior or Graduate student and graduating no sooner than December 2021. (Must Submit Transcripts Stating Current Enrollment Status, GPA and in Good Standing)
Must be in academic good standing as defined by the college or university, earning at least a 2.75 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
Must be currently enrolled in a Technical Program, Law, Criminal Justice, Social Sciences, or Accounting undergraduate or graduate degree program.
Must be able to report to work in the USPS OIG office for which you are selected during core business hours.
Must have experience creating and maintaining SharePoint sites.
Must have experience with computer software applications such as Microsoft Office, Excel, etc.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS
Previous internship/co-op/employment in the criminal justice field
SharePoint development experience
Ability to utilize excel for data entry, pivot tables, charts/graphs and visualizations
Ability to use a range of online tools to create dynamic presentations for internal and external stakeholders
String writing skills, to include experience writing articles/newsletters
