Duties

Help

Supports all aspects of the Force Support Squadron Marketing & Publicity Office. Provides photographic, audio and video support for a wide range of online and print communications efforts for the Force Support Squadron to include events, programs and facilities. Responsible for creating photography, audio and videography productions from scratch (conceptualizing, creating staging). Selects a variety of visual materials such as photographs, illustrations, video and prints to communicate information to the target audience. Manages posting of digital sign artwork and social media posts. Assists in the design and updating of the Force Support Squadron website. Develops, designs, edits and updates a variety of digital marketing materials including but not limited to Facebook slides, TV slides, Instagram posts, email campaigns and digital signs. Assists with promotions, marketing research projects and special events as assigned. Uses digital camera(s) to capture photos of events, promotions, retail items and more. May be required to work an irregular tour of duty. Performs other duties as assigned.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application.

Qualifying Experience:
Must be able to read, write and speak English and possess knowledge of written and oral communication as related to marketing, advertising and program and event promotion. Must possess strong writing skills and knowledge of journalistic styles. Must be able to work effectively with staff and customers while under the stress of short deadlines. Must possess knowledge in video techniques and marketing trends including web, social media, print and email marketing. Ability to use PC and Mac computers, professional design and presentation software programs including Adobe Creative Suite is highly desired. Knowledge of Wordpress is preferred. Must be able to perform research, select, arrange and compose information and material. Working knowledge of the Force Support Squadron facilities, services, programs and policies is preferred. Must have a valid driver's license. Must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug test. Must be able to satisfactorily complete a Tier 1 background check.

Education

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. This position does not allow for education substitution in order to qualify.

FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements. You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program. It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.

Additional information
