Basic Requirements for a Performance Auditor:
Degree: auditing; or a degree in a related field such as business administration, finance, public administration or accounting.
OR
Combination of education and experience: at least 4 years of experience in Performance Auditing, or an equivalent combination of performance auditing experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional auditing knowledge. The applicant's background must also include one of the following:
In addition to the Basic Requirements, the applicant must have the following specialized experience:
To qualify, applicants must have completed at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the 12 grade level or above in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as experience planning and executing IT audits or evaluations that comply with the requirements of Generally Acceptable Government Auditing Standards or the Quality Standards for Inspections and Evaluations and the preparation, review, and presentation of oral and written communications or reports encompassing the results and recommendations of the audits or evaluations.
