Fort Knox is a United States Army installation in Kentucky, south of Louisville and north of Elizabethtown. It is adjacent to the United States Bullion Depository, which is used to house a large portion of the United States' official gold reserves.
Summary
About the Position:
This position is located at Van Voorhis Elementary School, in Fort Knox, Kentucky.

Utilize supply and logistic support systems for standard requisitioning, stock, storing, records and issuing procedures.
Verify and record serial numbers upon receipt of goods, bar codes items.
Assure school support requirements are prepared, edited, and submitted to the Area Director's office for the purchase of supplies and equipment.
Serve as property custodian maintaining a perpetual inventory of non-expendable property and supply records for durable items in the school.
Assist Area and District personnel with physical security inspections to ensure adequate security measures are in place and adhered to.
Assure all supply transactions are recorded in an automated system and that copies of documents are file appropriately to maintain an adequate automated and hard-copy audit trail.
Set or revise stock levels for authorized items available through the supply system.
Assist in monitoring the school safety and security programs to ensure compliance with program requirements of DoDEA and the supporting military installation.

To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages.

Specialized experience for GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining inventory records, ordering supplies, knowledge of software programs and managing a purchase card program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05).
