Duties

Help

As a CONTRACTING OFFICER REPRESENTATIVE at the NH-1101/1102-3 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Serves as liaison between contractors and the government contracting officer to identify and resolve issues.
  • Helps ensure successful contract completion consistent with the Federal Acquisition Regulation and its supplements.
  • Monitors contractor's compliance with contract terms, conditions, and specifications. - Provides timely, consistent and comprehensive oversight of assigned contracts, delivery orders and task orders.
  • Maintains a Contracting Officer Representative file system to record performance in all acquisition phases such as: requirements development; pre-award activities; post-award contract administration; and termination/closure of contracts.
  • Enforces terms and conditions of each assigned contract. -Provides oversight of invoice submission in Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) system

You may qualify at the NH-03, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

One year of specialized experience equivalent to the NH-02/GS-11 grade level in the Federal service as listed below:

  • Experience inspecting, reviewing, and verifying contractor's work efforts.
  • Experience serving as a liaison between contractors and government contracting officers.
  • Experience ensuring successful contract completion consistent with Federal Acquisition Regulation and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS).

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.

Duty location Dahlgren, Virginia: Position will be filled at NH-03 with a starting salary of $87,198 to $134,798 (includes 30.48% locality), unless statutory/regulatory rates prevail.

Duty location Schriever, Colorado: Position will be filled at NH-03 with a starting salary of $78,711 to $121,677 (includes 17.78% locality), unless statutory/regulatory rates prevail.

Duty location Redstone Arsenal, Al: Position will be filled at NH-03 with a starting salary of $80,095 to $123,816 (includes 19.85% locality), unless statutory/regulatory rates prevail.


ACQUISITION POSITION: This position requires Acquisition Workforce Level II in Contracting. Certification prior to hiring is not essential but must be accomplished within 24 months after entry into this position.
