Duties

Help

All of Us's Division of Communications and Marketing supports a wide range of activities to raise awareness about All of Us and engage participants, biomedical researchers, and other key audiences from diverse communities.

The selected Supervisory Health Communications Specialists will each manage one of the following teams within the Division:

The Strategic Dissemination Team: This team oversees campaign strategy and coordination, leads the development of an integrated digital communications plan encompassing social media and multiple website properties, and manages marketing and analytics efforts.

The Stakeholder Communications Team: This team supports the communications needs of All of Us's national consortium of awardees, manages a central repository of promotional and educational assets, fields public inquiries, and leads researcher communications efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and provides information services for All of Us Research Program consumers, including patients and their families, the general public, and health professionals.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of the AII of Us Research Program Strategic Plan.
  • Manages responses to inquiries from the public and program partners through oversight of the All of Us Support Center.
  • Oversees the All of Us Research Program's consulting services for printing, graphic design, and publication layout, including copy editing, publication production, and guidance on the logo and graphic standards.
  • Manages contracts or grants for the effective development, implementation, and evaluation of All of Us Research Program health awareness and education campaigns and broad-based education initiatives.
  • Supports and coordinates public health education and communications efforts of professional, voluntary, media, and local community organizations, and Federal and State agencies.
  • Manages innovative marketing and evidenced-based health education strategies, including social media and Internet marketing, to increase awareness and dissemination of All of Us Research Program health information/education materials.
  • Provides the full range of supervision to the subordinate staff in planning and carrying out communications, health awareness, and education activities.

Qualifications

You qualify at the GS-14 level, if you meet the following qualification requirement:

You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: identifying, distributing and balancing workload and tasks among employees; managing and developing communication programs and materials; communicating with internal and external customers and entities on communication and outreach activities; coordinating and managing high priority projects and initiatives for assigned programs.

You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.

  • Location of position is negotiable after selection. Your salary will be based upon the locality pay of your work site as determined by law. The selected individuals may work anywhere in the United States, including onsite at NIH's main campus in Bethesda, MD. Work sites outside of the U.S. are prohibited.   • A one-year probationary period may be required upon selection/placement.
