These positions are located within Health Resources and Services Administration, Bureau of Primary Health Care. The duty location for these positions is Rockville, Maryland.
This Direct Hire recruitment is to fill positions based on a critical hiring need resulting from the outbreak and spread of the "Coronavirus Disease 2019" (COVID-19), which has caused a public health emergency. Major Duties
As a Lead Public Health Analyst, you will provide leadership, direction, and professional and technical guidance in project management for the team's activities.
Your major duties and responsibilities include:
Leading team decision-making related to public health program oversight (e.g., communicate workload distribution, task assignment strategy development, analysis of team performance on achieving goals and formulation of corrective actions if targets are not met).
Articulating and communicating team assignments, projects, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, and deadlines and timeframes for completion.
Analyzing and evaluating quantitative and qualitative data to assess the effectiveness of the team's efforts relating to public health program goals and objectives.
Monitoring and reporting the status and progress of work, ensuring work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been met.
Assessing the team's strengths and weaknesses, providing leadership, exploring alternatives, and determining what improvements can be made.
Researching and applying qualitative and/or quantitative methods to identify, assess, analyze and improve team effectiveness, efficiency and work products.

Basic Requirements for all Public Health Program Specialist Series, 0685 positions require that you demonstrate specialized experience in each of the following five competencies:
