Duties

Help
  • This position is for the Supervisory Deputy Program Manger within the DoD Healthcare Management System Modernization (DHMSM) Program Management Office.
  • Responsible for management of cost, schedule, and performance of Military Health Systems Acquisition Programs within the Defense Health Agency, Program Executive Office or Program Management Office.
  • Plans, analyzes, and reviews major programs associated with the acquisition of capabilities involving information technology, services, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, facilities, etc., within the Military Health System (MHS).
  • Monitors and performs detailed analyses of program progress and utilization of resources.
  • Incumbent develops, coordinates, and monitors testing, implementation, and deployment plans.
  • Reviews requirements, identifies project scope and processes, reviews specific issues, and oversees tests and analyses to help determine technical and operational requirements.
  • Exercises the full range of supervisory authority in regard to assignment of projects and tasks.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
  • This position is a Testing Designated Position subject to applicant testing and random drug testing. Selectees will be required to sign DA Form 5019 requiring participation in random drug urinalysis testing.
  • One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year supervisory probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
  • This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.
  • The incumbent will be required to sign a Tenure Agreement which requires the incumbent to remain in this position for a minimum of 3 years.
  • The incumbent must be Level III certified at time of assignment in the DAW career field of Program Management.
  • The incumbent must be an Acquisition Corps (AC) member at the time of permanent selection for the position or have been granted a waiver.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Program Manager, NH-0340-04

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing product management support during the planning, development, testing and/or implementation of systems in support of Military Health Systems Acquisition Programs; AND planning actions to evaluate, coordinate, document, and/or implementation of project actions; AND leading employee activities to evaluates the effectiveness and utilization of personnel and resources. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-03).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
