Plans, supervises, directs, provides assistance and advice on improvements or repairs and coordinates a variety of maintenance functions that are supportive to the entire DMWR.
Provides for regular maintenance of facilities and equipment and directly supervises the work of the Maintenance Branch workforce.
Makes monthly safety inspections of the facilities, vehicles, equipment, and tools used in the entire directorate to determine if there are any hazards or defective equipment in or on directorate facilities.
Assures that all activities and facilities in the directorate are complying with the mandatory energy guidelines set forth by the JRTC, local policies, and AR 200-1 regulations.
Monitors all environmental issues in the directorate. Reports any activities that are in non-compliance with EPA and AR 200-1 regulations.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Driver's license will be required if operating government vehicles.
Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
Ability to lift and carry up to 40 pounds with assistance, walk, bend, and stoop and stand on a routine basis.
Primarily weekdays. Must be able to work irregular duty hours that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume.
-1 year equivalent to at least the next lower level in the normal line of progression.
-Physical ability to inspect facilities such as roofs, plumbing, etc which requires climbing ladders, crawling under buildings, being subjected to heat and cold.
-Technical knowledge in such trades as carpentry, plumbing, painting and electrical sufficient to train employees maintenance function in these trade/crafts.
-Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
-Ability to make cost and budget analyses and project costs of assigned projects. Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit.
-2 years customer service experience in a recreation facility.
-2 years experience in such trades as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and electrical sufficient to train employees in various maintenance functions.
