Assigns and reviews work assignments on a daily basis. Plans work schedules, approves or disapproves leave, determines performance objectives and rates performance.
Support the activity by applying a practical knowledge of recreational activities and skills in the use of recreation materials and facilities.
Works in executing recreation events, programs and services to meet the recreational needs including a variety of multi events, social activities, tournaments and other major programs, such as ethnic, patriotic, and observances.
Assists with training new personnel. Assures that proper security measures are taken to safeguard monies, property, equipment and facility. Assists with other recreation programs in the Recreation Center as needed.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Driver's license will be required if operating government vehicles.
Duties may involve working both indoors and outdoors.
Primarily weekdays. Must be able to work irregular duty hours that may include early mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Qualifications
Qualifications must be clearly verifiable in your resume.
-Must have knowledge of a wide range of recreation and sports activities, organization and structure of military units and installation sports program objectives, policies, methods and procedures to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, assist, guide and motivate military staff in carrying out their responsibilities.
-Must have basic understanding of budget and supply functions in order to prepare input and justification of funding for supplies and equipment.
-Must have the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing (English).
-Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed. Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit.
-6 months Supervisory/Managerial work experience.
-Technical knowledge in REC Trac or an equivalent POS System.
