Supervises assigned staff. Manages a Food Service Program within a business activity. Develops, recommends and enforces operating procedures.
Plans and manages all phases of food service program where dining and catering are a substantial basis of the food operation.
Prepares/supervises the preparation of menus involving both standard and new cooking methods.
Participates in the selection of employees, directs on-the-job-training of new employees, makes duty assignments consistent with operational requirements.
Develops operating budget and data, identifying labor, equipment, and supply costs. Controls food pricing and costs. Oversees food ordering, storage and issues. Directs subordinates in all phases of food preparation and food sanitation requirements.
Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
Uniforms and name badges are provided and are required.
Rotating shift will include hours between 8:00 am through 11:00 pm. Nights, weekends and holidays are required.
Valid driver's license is required to drive government vehicles for bank runs and catering.
Family and MWR Orientation Course completed within first 30 days of appointment.
Team Member Orientation Course completed within first 90 days of appointment.
Operation Excellence/Customer Service Training completed within first 3 months of appointment.
Family and MWR Basic Management Course completed within first 6 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Qualification must be clearly verifiable in your resume.
-Work experience or education directly related to the duties to be performed.
-Knowledge of pricing methods and internal controls.
-Demonstrated work experience must be equivalent in complexity and difficulty to the next lower pay level.
-Possess a certificate for sanitation in food service or have the ability to obtain the certificate within three months of appointment. Highly Preferred Criteria: All answers to the Highly Preferred criteria must be demonstrated in your resume to get credit.
-Currently posses a certificate for sanitation food service.
-2 years work experience as Food Service Manager/Supervisor.
-Experience with inventory controls and procedures
-Experience developing menus.
