Duties

Help
  • Perform a full range of simple cooking by preparing and cooking items that require little or no processing.
  • Prepare hot cereals and concentrated or dehydrated soups, sauces and gravies. Make cold sandwich fillings. Set up and replenish salad bar. Prepare food, weigh, measure, and assemble ingredients for regular and modified menu items.
  • Mix ingredients according to written recipes. Cover, date and store leftovers according to established procedures.
  • Operate a variety of kitchen equipment. Disassemble, clean and assemble component parts and accessories.
  • Follow safety procedures to avoid personal injury and damage to the equipment.
  • Clean, store and maintain all equipment and work areas after each use. Clean other work areas and equipment on an established cleaning schedule.
  • Prepares and cooks food on the grill.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Satisfactory completion of 4 hour initial food sanitation and safety training is required within 30 days of employment and minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
  • Uniforms and name tags are provided and required.
  • Shift will vary based on mission but could include days, nights, weekends and occasional holiday are required.
  • Must be 18 years of age by appointment date to meet state requirements.
