75% or less - Travel is required to visit assigned credit unions in the geographic area and to participate in special assignments, training events, and conferences.

As the Supervisory Credit Union Examiner, the incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
-Supervising the activities of a group of geographically dispersed credit union examiners.
-Interpreting and applying credit union laws, regulations, policies, standards, or procedures to specific issues.
-Reviewing examination reports prepared by assigned staff for technical problem areas.
-Identifying employee training needs and development and assuring that resources are made available for development and training needs.
-Conducting program evaluations to ensure consistent application of policy guidance, practices, procedures, and examination priorities.
Suitable adjudication of background/security investigation is required.
A supervisory probationary period may be required.
Financial disclosure is required.
Qualifications
You must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.
To qualify at the CU-14 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-13 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include activities such as 1) conducting financial institution examinations by applying appropriate laws, regulations, and standards; 2) reviewing, leading teams, or providing feedback on other financial institution examiners concerning examination procedures; and 3) managing conflicting priorities with established deadlines.
To qualify at the CU-15 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-14 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include 1) one of the following activities:
reviewing the quality of financial institution examinations;
examining complex or troubled financial institutions; or
writing supervisory guidance for financial institution related issues at the national level;
as well as 2) reviewing, leading teams, or providing feedback on other financial institution examiners concerning examining procedures; and 3) ensuring that organizational work products are completed within established deadlines.

Additional information
If you are selected for this position at the CU-14, you may be non-competitively promoted to the next level through CU-15 provided that you have fulfilled the necessary qualification requirements including any applicable certification processes. Promotion is not automatic and is conditional on demonstrated ability to perform the higher grade level duties, a current written performance appraisal rating of "fully successful" or better, and fulfillment of the necessary qualification requirements.
Pay will be set within the advertised pay range to align with the selectee's skills and experience and the requirements of the position.
SALARY: Pay will be set using NCUA's compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes a locality rate of 48.96% for the East Los Angeles, California, Los Angeles, California, and San Fernando, California geographical area.
EXCEPTION: If you are a current NCUA non-supervisory employee and you are selected for reassignment into a supervisory position, management will consider your current salary in relation to the duties and responsibilities of the new position. You may receive up to a 10% salary increase, not to exceed the National Pay Rate (NPR) of the pay grade.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the NCUA's current posture will not require employees to perform official travel or work onsite at NCUA offices or in credit unions any earlier than August 30, 2021. This date may be extended.
If it becomes necessary for NCUA to request on-site work, NCUA may solicit volunteers for the assignment. Management reserves the right to request employees to perform on-site work in exigent circumstances.
