Duties

Help
  • Works under the direction of the Facility Manager. Assists the Facility Manager in the overall operation of a fitness facility.
  • Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory: provides information and general instruction on the use of equipment, facilities, and machinery.
  • Assists in setting up for instructors, contractors, events, athletic activities, and related functions. Assists with publicity of programs and events and assists with the delivery and placement of posters, flyers and other promotional material.
  • Issues/receives equipment to authorized users. Monitors fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate.
  • Cleans and performs minor maintenance on facility equipment. Performs facility cleanliness and/or monitors contracts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Direct Deposit and Social Security Card is required.
  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
  • Completed and signed DA Form 3433 (dated Aug 2019) is required prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must possess the following within 6 months of employment: MWR Orientation Course, Customer Service.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2. May also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally-controlled facilities.
  • Must be able and willing to work an irregular schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays per the needs of the facility.

Possesses related work experience that includes the demonstrated ability to perform the duties of position as indicated above.
