Duties

Help
  • You will play a key strategic role in defining strategy, policy, and architecture to guide and constrain all mobility systems, and mobile applications development including the front-end platforms, servers, storage, and management systems/networks.
  • You will include the integration of warfighting and business mission mobility requirements including considerations of edge computing; integration of denied, degraded, intermittent, latent capabilities for Deployed Marine Corps Enterprise Network.
  • You will have a solid and comprehensive understanding of mobility solutions and technology systems development and operations, as well as experience designing and developing applications for the mobile environment.
  • You will create a well-informed mobility strategy and manage the adaption process and develop and organize mobility systems and regularly evaluate mobility applications, hardware, and software.
  • You will work closely across the organization to develop effective institutional mobility policies for the institution.
  • You will respond to technical issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • You will guide infrastructure movement techniques, including bulk application transfers onto mobile platforms and into the cloud.
  • You will identify top mobility architecture solutions to successfully meet the strategic needs of Marine Corps Operations in the Information Environment (OIE).

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: Applicants will be assessed against Mandatory Technical Qualifications (MTQs). Failure to provide a separate narrative statement which describes fully and concisely how your experience meets the Mandatory Technical Qualifications will eliminate you from consideration.

MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS: (Each must be addressed separately in your Supplemental Narrative Statement. Each MTQ must not exceed 1 page.)

1. Four to six years of mobile technology domain experience at a senior corporate enterprise level.

2. Expertise in iOS, Android, HTML5, CSS3, and other mobile application frameworks and development environments, and their application to a wide range of business and mission needs.

3. Proven ability to design, optimize and integrate business processes across disparate systems and mobile technologies.

4. Experience with mobile analytics, and its application to continual service improvement.

5. Demonstrated leadership of deployments of enterprise mobile software systems using industry standard environments and multiple Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management solutions in support of iOS, and Android environments.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
