Summary

This position is part of the U.S. International Development Finance Corporation (DFC), Office of Development Policy. As Managing Director, Impact Management & Monitoring, you will oversee the development and collection of impact results based on the IQ for each project, monitor project and portfolio impact performance, coordinate with environmental and social teams on risk-based monitoring plans, and develop lessons learned to inform new investment activities.

Duties

Help

Develops DFC's approach to impact management and monitoring in coordination with the Environmental, Social, and Economic teams in the Office of Development Policy and across the DFC's monitoring functions.

Develops the business plan for the Impact Management and Monitoring Division, including policies and procedures to enhance project and portfolio effectiveness and inform decisions about current and future programming.

Oversees the collection and reporting of data from project results tables and Development Outcomes Surveys (DOS-008), including site visits for validation.

Supports the execution of Net Zero accounting goals for the DFC and the capture of data in line with corporate targets.

Leads strategic discussions and contributes to further shaping DFC's approach to impact and sustainability.

Prepares, in coordination with DFC's Office of External Affairs, briefing materials for Congressional oversight, reauthorization and other hearings, in addition to congressional responses for requests for information and data.

Provides administrative and technical supervision to assigned staff. Sets priorities, assigns and reviews work; establishes goals and objectives; evaluates performance; identifies training needs; hears and resolves complaints; effects disciplinary actions; and interviews and selects employees for vacancies.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all eligibility and qualification requirements no later than 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

You may qualify at the GS-15 level, if you fulfill the following qualification requirement:
One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service that includes: experience supervising or leading a team responsible for impact management and monitoring of finance, insurance and/or investment funds projects; experience analyzing finance, insurance and/or investment funds projects for development impact; and preparing analytical reports outlining findings and recommendations.

An advanced university degree in Business Administration, Management, Law, Development Studies or an undergraduate degree in the aforementioned fields in combination with at least 10 years of required working experience preferred.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
