This position is located in the Office of Health Services, and reports to the Manager of the Peace Corps Medical Officer Support Unit. The Supervisory Education & Training Specialist performs the following major duties:
- Education Services Program Management and Administration: Serves as an expert in education and/or career development services program or project planning and development. Performs research, development, and implementation of new and innovative methods of delivering academic and/or career development programs. Leads in the management of the overall training and evaluation functions. Oversees, coordinates, and evaluates overall education program activities and the implementation of basic national guidelines for adult learning principles.
- Supervisory and/or Managerial Responsibilities: Supervises employees performing the work of the education and training unit. Performs the administrative and human resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. Establishes guidelines and performance expectations for staff members (including observation of work performance; provision of informal feedback and evaluation of performance; resolution of informal complaints and grievances).
