    Responsibilities

    Primary Purpose: serves as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Department of the Air Force (DAF), Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) and Counter-UAS (C-UAS) Export Policy, directly supporting the Deputy Under Secretary of Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA), the Director of Policy and Programs (SAF/IAP), and the Weapons Division (SAF/IAPW) through detailed analysis of unmanned technology and export position.

    • Serves as UAS and C-UAS Subject Matter Expert to the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force for International Affairs on matters of technology transfer, U.S. industry relations, and foreign military sales.
    • Formulates and refines DAF UAS export positions to control the unwarranted transfer of sensitive technology and military information.
    • Serves as DAF liaison to the MQ-9 User's Group representing DAF equities to the growing multi-national working group comprised of the MQ-9A/B - equipped nations (US, UK, France, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Belgium).
    • Enhances technical, managerial and military expertise through professional interaction with technical and professional societies, associations, academia, symposia, contractors, research and development organization, as well as through participation in formal training programs.
