US Citizens currently residing within the commuting area of Brunssum, the Netherlands (not ordinarily resident in the Netherlands). US resident alien family members of US sponsors who are citizens of NATO countries other than Belgium and possess a valid green card and US Social Security Number (SSN).

• Responsible for the operation of the Child and Youth Services (CYS) Technology Lab in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Creates a positive work environment in CYS Technology Lab while preparing and implementing program options, working in ratio with youth, and providing opportunities for parent involvement.
• Demonstrates proper work methods and provides work-related guidance to subordinates when required.
• Ensures computer, peripherals, and software are maintained in good condition and working order.
• Interacts with children and youth using approved child guidance and youth development techniques.
• Maintains control of and accounts for the whereabouts and safety of children and youth.
• Trains children/youth in use of equipment and software programs and actively monitoring internet use by children and youth and those who may assist in the Technology Lab.
• Completes designated training requirements and records completed training on own Individual Development Plan (IDP).
• Collects, maintains, and reports program participation data.

• Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
• In consideration of COVID-19, personnel within this area routinely wear personal protective equipment (cloth face coverings, latex gloves, and face shields) while performing their regular duties.
• POSITION REQUIRES WORKING WITH COMPUTERS, PERIPHERALS, SOFTWARE AND COMMON HAND AND ELECTRICAL TOOLS.
• Failure to achieve desired training with demonstrated competence may result in separation.
• Pursuant to EO 14043, all Federal employees, regardless of duty location or work arrangement, must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 by November 22, 2021, or before entrance on duty if after November 22, subject to exceptions as required by law.

Qualifications

Candidates MUST:
1. POSSESS A PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE OR HIGHER RELATED TO COMPUTER SCIENCE/INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
OR
24 MONTHS OF SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE WORKING AN EDUCATIONAL TECHNOLOGY PROGRAM FOR YOUTH. Experience must be in scope of difficulty and complexity equivalent to the NF-02 level.
2. Possess knowledge and demonstrated skill in Microsoft Windows and Applications using the Internet (email, searching, web page design) and network computing.
3. Be able to communicate in English (verbal and written)
