Duties

Help
  • Assist senior specialists in the review and assessment of benefits administration activities.
  • Assist senior specialist in monitoring, coordinating, and evaluating the quality of customer service provided to PBGC customers.
  • Track and maintain the progress of corrective actions and/or remaining issues for remediation and closure.

Qualifications

All qualification requirements must be met within 30 days of the announcement closing date. 

You may start at a GS-09 with an annual salary of $60,129, if you meet one of the following minimum qualification requirements:

Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience at the GS-7 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level in the private sector performing customer service, benefit administration tasks related to employer-provided benefit programs, or benefit administration-related data analysis related to employer-provided benefit programs. Examples may include: analyzing or evaluating issues related to benefits administration or customer support activities or projects.  

OR

A Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

OR

An equivalent combination of the education and specialized experience above may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.

Time-In-Grade Requirement: In order to be eligible for this position, all current Federal employees must provide proof of meeting the time-in-grade requirement (i.e., at least 52 weeks of experience at the next lower grade level in the Federal service). This information must be in both your resume and on an SF-50. Those who do not provide proof of having met the time-in-grade requirement will be deemed ineligible for this position.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Referral: You will be assigned to one of three quality groups. Each group represents a quality level (i.e., Best Qualified, Qualified, Minimally Qualified). Candidates will be considered in quality group order. If you are among the top qualified candidates, your application may be referred to a selecting official for consideration. You may be required to participate in a selection interview (telephonic and/or in person at the discretion of the Selecting Official in accordance with hiring polices).
