Duties

Help
  • You will be responsible for proactive communications, media relations, advisory, interface/liaison duties, public release clearance, protocol, event planning (town halls/AMAs) and public website management.
  • You will develop and execute strategic public affairs communication services that leverage all available communication media and emerging technologies to effectively communicate the NAWCAD LKE vision and story.
  • You will orchestrate significant public relations activities to inform both internal and external audiences about NAWCAD LKE and its achievements and ongoing efforts in effecting improvements.
  • You will develop and propose articles to leadership that can bring major, positive attention to the command, encourage the culture change, and shift in thinking that will engage stakeholders and facilitate NAWCAD LKE efforts.

  • This position is considered Key/Emergency-Essential. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support to ensure the success of combat operations or the availability of combat- essential systems.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (DA-05/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: 1) Confers with the NAWCAD LKE Senior Leadership in the interest of keeping program efforts in appropriate alignment with regulations, command objectives and constantly changing circumstances; 2) Directs and manages the public release for external use to attract print, broadcast and social media coverage and for internal use to educate, inform and motivate the workforce. 3) Reviews, develops and enhances the communication channels and tools necessary to execute communications . 4) Oversees, creates and edits news releases, fact sheets, talking points and other material to stimulate internal and external interest in command accomplishments and enhance understanding of the command, its workforce, mission and contribution to the national defense. 5) Prepares speeches and presentations for senior command leaders and advises on delivery. 6) Possesses mastery of skills in developing written material (such as briefings, speeches, fact sheets, brochures, booklets, broadcast spots, news releases, etc.,) that takes highly technical information in a vast spectrum of programs and prepares it so that it can be understood by a wide audience, such as academia, private industry, non-defense government, and the local community/general public. 7) Possesses skills to facilitate and manage communication events such as town halls and Ask Me Anything (AMAs) web-casts.
