Duties

Help
  • Monitor section actions in responding to and complying with reporting requirements. Validate conflicting information.
  • Troubleshoot project management issues and develop corrective course related to variety of activities.
  • Review and analyze data from financial and personnel management systems. Compile statistics and analysis for forecasting, assessment, reporting, and presentation.
  • Prepare budget documentation for $1M revolving fund service account. Coordinate with other organizations to facilitate objectives. Establish suspense controls.
  • Prepare correspondence and non-technical reports. Use various automated systems including word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and other types of software.
  • Assist staff in conducting project studies and work processes. Responsible for development and implementation of internal procedures to assure efficiency of office operations. Advise management of adverse trends and provide recommendation.
  • Generate tables of contents, statistical data, technical directives, correspondence, and exhibits.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1.) Compile financial data to create budget reports; AND 2.) Submit or track personnel actions to ensure timelines are met; AND 3) Maintain a data management system to administer organization time and attendance function. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-06).
