  • Exercising delegating supervisory authorities and responsibilities in guiding and controlling the work through subordinate employees engaged in dissemination.
  • Formulating the communication strategies and goals of OEDA, including identifying agency information dissemination priorities and developing implementation strategies designed to optimize CMS data and information dissemination.
  • Developing and implementing the CMS information technology system Enterprise Privacy Policy Engine responsible for tracking data disclosures as required under the Privacy Act and HIPPA.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert and independent authority on the appropriate mechanisms and processes to ensure appropriate data sharing of CMS generated data files containing protected health information and personally identifiable information.
  • Exercising overall supervision over establishment of the organizational position structure by providing the optimum balance between such elements as efficiency, skills utilization, employees motivation and development.

In order to qualify for the GS-15 , you must meet the following: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one year (52 weeks) of qualifying specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, obtained in either the private or public sector, to include: 1) Applying security requirements regarding protected health information as established in the CMS Acceptable Risk Safeguards guidance; 2) Assisting in the development of agency information systems to track data disclosures; 3) Using 508 requirements to disseminate information on government websites; AND 4) Coaching or overseeing the work of team members.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Time-in-Grade: To be eligible, current Federal employees must have served at least 52 weeks (one year) at the next lower grade level from the position/grade level(s) to which they are applying.
