    Responsibilities

    Incumbent will contribute as a statistical leader and technical expert in collaborative research in measurement science for the Statistical Engineering Division at the National Institute of Standards and Technology. The position requires expertise or experience in technical leadership, strategic, tactical, and project planning, and management of people and resources. It also requires expertise in data-driven problem solving through the fitting and assessment of statistical models. Types of models typically required include linear and non-linear parametric models, non-parametric machine learning models, or Bayesian hierarchical or Gaussian process models along with associated computational methods for model fitting or optimization; expertise in data visualization, applied statistical computation using modern statistical software, and the communication of complex statistical concepts to non-statistical scientific audiences also is required.

    Occasional travel - Occasional travel may be required to attend conferences and meetings.
