- Independently plan, conduct, and report complex and innovative research on plant biology, seed regeneration characteristics, nutritional quality, and/or seed quality and longevity in storage of Phaseolus species.
- Independently plan, conduct, and report complex and innovative research on genetic diversity, systematics, taxonomy, genetics and genomics.
- Collect or acquire genetic resources of Phaseolus species in response to needs expressed by users.
- Serve as a recognized expert and consultant in the area of Phaseolus species conservation, and provide scientific leadership in that area.
Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
