    Responsibilities

    As a Biologist, you will perform the following duties:

    • Serve as the Endangered Species Act (ESA) Section 7 Coordinator, managing projects, utilizing data applications and systems, and ensuring the effective integration of the program’s science and objectives.
    • Coordinate and develop procedures, guidelines, and/or written reports on the investigations and assessments of human wildlife conflicts and at risk species or systems.
    • Oversee and direct work of junior biologists dealing with technical problems, planning and developing evaluations, providing guidance, recommending changes to work, and ensuring the implementation of emerging technologies and improved analytical approaches into program systems and concepts.
    • Analyze and execute resolutions to difficult and complex scientific policy, procedural, and theoretical issues while advising top management officials as the Division’s technical representative on panels, committees and conferences.

    Occasional travel - Up to 5% of domestic and foreign travel may be required.
