Duties

Help
  • The Artificial Intelligence (AI) Experimentation Branch is responsible for creating, planning, and conducting strategic war games, workshops, and related events.
  • Serves as a senior military strategist in the AI Experimentation Branch, Mission Integration and Capability Development Directorate (MICD2), Army Artificial Intelligence Center , Army Futures Command and subject matter expert-advisor to the director.
  • Coordinates war game participants from DoD, U.S. government, Non-governmental organizations, academia and the private sector to support organizations from Combatant Commands, Army Service Component Commands, and DoD/Army/U.S. government activities.
  • Serves as an expert in war game development in support of strategic examination of U.S. national interests, U.S. policy, military strategic and functional concepts, theater specific contingency plan development, and Army Title 10 responsibilities.
  • Coordinates with senior military leaders and action officers to plan and participate in pre-game workshops and planning events, as well as war games and workshops in direct support of the supported organization.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning strategic war games, workshops or related events; 2) Conducting strategic assessments of problem sets in order to conduct war games yielding results to help update policy formulation to include strategic planning development; and 3) Participating as either a war game project leader or as a supporting member of the team such as a small group facilitator for war game events. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
