This position serves as the chief of an information management division/branch as an IT Helpdesk and Mailroom supervisor responsible for managing multiple personnel and budgets. The organization provides support for the assigned portion of the command, control, communications and computers (C4) program.
(1) Plans, organizes, and directs the activities of the organization, ensuring that the advice and assistance provided complies with legal and regulatory requirements and meets customer needs.
(2) Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
(3) Represents the organization with a variety of state and functional area organizations.
(4) Develops goals and objectives that integrate division/branch and overall C4 program objectives.
(5) Establishes, develops, and maintains effective working relationships with National Guard Bureau and state personnel at all management levels.

EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:
Paid through Direct Deposit/Electronic Funds Transfer (DD/EFT).

Acceptance of a Technician position over 180 days will result in suspension or termination these military incentives. DESCRIPTION OF WORK: This series covers two-grade interval administers that manage, supervise, lead, administer, develop, deliver, and support information technology (IT) systems and services. This series covers only those positions for which the paramount requirement is knowledge of IT principles, concepts, and methods; e.g., data storage, software applications, networking.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess experience, education or training that has provided a basic knowledge of data processing functions and general management principles that enabled the applicant to understand the stages required to automate a work process. Experience may have been gained in work such as computer operator or assistant, computer sales representative, program analyst, or other positions that required the use or adaptation of computer programs and systems.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:
Must possess at least 36 months experience, education, or training that approaches techniques and requirements appropriate to an assigned computer applications area or computer specialty area in an organization. Experience planning the sequence of actions necessary to accomplish the assignment where this entailed coordination with others outside the organizational unit and development of project controls. Experience that required adaptations of guidelines or precedents to meet the needs of the assignment. Experience preparing documentation on cost/benefit studies where is involved summarizing the material and organizing it in a logical fashion. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

ASSURANCE CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

- Within 6 months of assignment of IA duties all military and government civilian IAM personnel must achieve IA Baseline Certification unless a waiver is granted. New hires' qualification periods begin the date they start in the position.
- IAT-I certification is the minimum requirement prior to IA Managers authorizing unprivileged access for personnel performing IAT-I through IAT-III functions.
- An individual needs to obtain only one of the "approved certifications" for IAT-II to meet the minimum requirement. (Para: AP3.2.4.)
