    The Architect of the Capitol (AOC) is accepting applications for multiple Horticulture Turf Specialist Aide summer internships that offer skill enrichment and experiential learning while promoting careers in the public service.

    Horticulture Turf Specialist Aide: The Aide performs a variety of horticultural turf projects and learns to manage turf under extreme conditions and gain experience in preparing and renovating grounds after large events.

    The Aide will assist in the day-to-day turf and grounds maintenance and agronomic practices in a unique environment.

    Duties include mowing, string trimming, edging and blowing, cutting and laying sod, calibrating application equipment, applying fertilizer, fungicide, herbicide and insecticides to turf areas, preparing for concerts and demonstrations, assisting with laying ground protection, repairing grounds after concerts and demonstrations, topdressing, monitoring turf health, cleaning and detailing equipment

    Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license.
