    ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The selected applicant will conduct novel scientific research to advance GEOINT for use in critical aerospace, missile, and space vehicle applications. The duties include supporting and overseeing research programs, validating research results, collaborating research with other agencies, and transitioning relevant technologies. The position includes detailed data analysis, collection planning, evaluation of contractor performance, and presenting results, This role supports NGA's Space Research Group. NGA's Space Research Group is focused on understanding foreign threats from launch to on orbit operations, and ensuring the resilience of GEOINT assets. Masters of Science degree from an accredited college or university in Aeronautical, Aerospace, or Astronautical Engineering, that includes 24 semester (36 quarter) hours in Mathematics, Science and/or a related Engineering Science such as Calculus, Physics, Dynamics, Aerodynamics, Aerothermodynamics, Materials, Propulsion, and Orbital Mechanics. This position may be eligible for an INCENTIVE: selected candidates may be offered an incentive as part of the offer of employment, based on budget availability. To receive the incentive, selected candidates must be eligible under 5 CFR Part 575 upon issuance of the Final Offer Letter. Changes in federal employment status prior to issuance of the Final Offer Letter may affect eligibility. Incentive recipients sign a service agreement depending on the approved amount or duration of the incentive. If the employee leaves before the end of the service agreement, the employee may be required to repay a pro rata share amount of the incentive to the government.
