This is a Test Designated Position. You will be tested for illegal drugs prior to appointment and randomly thereafter.

Specialized Experience Requirement:
GS-5: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-4). Specialized experience is defined as: performing administrative duties in support of a recreational program, such as making reservations, acquiring transportation, and other related arrangements; providing information concerning physical education and recreational activities such as demonstrating camping and park safety or conducting nature tours; and/or ensuring recreational equipment is operated in a safe manner and demonstrating proper use of recreational equipment and tools;
-OR- Successful completion of a full 4 year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree that (a) included at least 24 semester hours in any combination of subjects directly related to the work of the position; (b) included courses related to recreation or physical education (c) was supplemented by specialized experience as described above for GS-4.
Selective Placement Factors:
This is a designated drugs testing position.
Must be able obtain and maintain all applicable Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certifications.
Must obtain Commercial Learner Permit (CLP) within 30 calendar day of reporting to duty and will have 60 days to obtain CDL.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
