    This position is located in the Executive Office of the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This Office provides executive leadership to the OIG.

    Being a Deputy Chief of Staff makes you a valuable member of the Executive Office of the Office of Inspector General (OIG), Department of Homeland Security (DHS). You will serves as the Chief of Staff's full assistant, and in this capacity participates in providing advice and services to the IG, DIG, senior leadership and staff. Typical assignments include:

    • Ensuring compliance with a broad range of federal, departmental, internal and business requirements, and develops internal
      administrative controls, guidance and procedures for organizational use.
    • Overseeing and directing the administrative components of critical programs, internal projects, and key organizational elements which have a direct impact on the OIG mission.
    • Communicating with internal components and external agencies to interpret, develop, and implement policy and program analysis.
    • Providing close communication with numerous high-level representatives to resolve conflicts or persuade them to take action to support the OIG mission.

    Occasional travel - You may be expected to travel for this position.
