Summary

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DIB and MRTFB to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV; 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. Employees work a 4/10 week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700. Youth Facilities and daily child care available. SIAD serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center. Mass transportation is available.

Duties

Help
  • Serves as the Sierra Army Depot (SIAD) Records Management Officer.
  • Conducts studies and provides advice and assistance to directorates for both automated and manual record keeping systems.
  • Reviews, analyzes, monitors, and approves all activity records prior to submitting for approval
  • Serves as a mandatory reviewing element for the coordination of SIAD documents submitted for publication.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To Qualify At The GS-09: One year of specialized experience which includes: Providing guidance and training on records management; Researching regulations to resolve issues with records management; Performing inspections on records or record keeping methods; and Maintaining data on record keeping processes. This experience is at or equivalent to the GS-07 level in federal service.

OR Master's degree or 2 full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Business Administration or other fields related to the position. (NOTE: You must attach a copy of your transcripts for verification).

OR Combination of the specialized experience and education where the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of graduate level education beyond two full years by 18. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify (NOTE: YOU MUST SUBMIT COPIES OF YOUR TRANSCRIPTS).
