Duties

Help
  • You will support United States Navy SEAL teams with intelligence to meet current and planned mission requirements.
  • You will serve as a conduit to the Intelligence Community for collection tasking and analytical products germane to Special Operations Forces (SOF) and expeditionary forces.
  • You will conduct effective liaison and coordination with counterparts in the Intelligence Community to include CIA, DIA, NSA, JITF-CT and the National Counter-Terrorism Center.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment mental/physical examination.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to sign a mobility agreement to accept relocation to other geographic locations if required by the employer.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:

  1. Analyzing and evaluating tactics, techniques, and procedures relative to terrorist networks and operations.
  2. Analyzing and evaluating social and tribal networks in relation to potential targets via message searches, data mining and open source searches.
  3. Interpreting and integrating all-source intelligence related to threat social networks and counter intelligence tactics and techniques.
  4. Providing reach back services in response to time-sensitive requests from deployed forces.
  5. Evaluating collection system solutions in support of the Intelligence production process.

The incumbent of this position must sign an ONI Civilian Workforce Deployment Agreement and DD Form 2365.

The incumbent of this position is required to deploy in support of mission requirements to various geographical assignments worldwide via temporary duty (TDY) travel.

All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601.

This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
