Duties

Help
  • Directs and prioritizes work assignments to administrative officers and business financial personnel.
  • Supervises and mentors all Program and Business Analysis employees ensuring employees are trained and positions are staffed appropriately.
  • Responsible for coordinating and reviewing data calls ensuring accuracy
  • Provides extensive analytical support to management in developing recommendations and making decisions on a broad variety of management and resource issues effecting the Sea Range.
  • Responsible for building/maintaining relationships across Ranges / Targets Operations, Instrumentation and Labs (RTOIL-EB0000M); China Lake Range (CLR-DB1000M and the Program and Business Analysis Department (PBAD-D/EC40000) management teams.

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). You must be certified as a Career Field K- Business Financial Management, Level 2. Certification is required within 24 months of appointment.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Generally, current federal employees applying for STRL jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower pay band. This requirement is called time-in-band. Time-in-band requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-9-12) or pay band (NM-03) in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following: 1) Financial Management fundamentals and overhead funding experience 2) planning, coordination, and execution of business functions, resource allocation, and production; 3) performing hiring, classification, benefits, labor relations, negotiation, and federal, state, and local employment regulations; 4) Experienced in applying fiscal law, policies and principle; 5) analyzing, evaluating and reviewing budget and financial data and support management decisions.

There is a requirement to become a series 0501 and complete the Financial Management Certification, Level 3 in two-years.

This position is NTE 2 years and may become permanent at any time.
