Duties

Help

Through proactive leadership, we provide a lifetime of individually tailored assistance designed to optimize the success of our Shipmates' recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration activities. The program is headquartered in Washington, D.C. Regional non-medical care providers are located at major Navy medical treatment facilities throughout the U.S., as well as at two Veteran’s Affairs (VA) Polytrauma Centers, and the San Antonio Military Medical Center.  This position is assigned to the NWW (N95) office within the CNIC Fleet and Family Readiness Programs (N9) Directorate and reports directly to the Regional Program Director. The primary purpose of this position is to provide case management support throughout the recovery, rehabilitation and reintegration of the wounded warriors, family members or caregivers. Case management is a collaborative process of assessment, planning, facilitation, care coordination, evaluation, and advocacy for options and services to meet an individual's and family's comprehensive non-medical needs through communication and available resources to promote quality, cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

Knowledge and understanding of requirements and operations of DoD and Department of Navy (DON) Wounded Warrior initiatives, implementing congressionally and DoD mandated warrior and family/caregiver requirements.  Knowledge of Federal and agency regulations; knowledge of the specific organization's programs and missions, as well as knowledge of pertinent laws, regulations, and policies related to program/operations area to consider their impact on programs. Knowledge of and skill in qualitative and quantitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness and the improvement of complex management processes and systems, which have impact on Navy or NWW-SH goals and objectives.  Ability to manage several major projects concurrently, each of which require multiple tasks across many different levels of the Navy (e.g.., local commands, regions, and headquarters) and other government agencies. Ability to clearly and concisely prepare, present, discuss and defend issues, findings and recommendations.  Ability to work effectively on a team. Ability to work in a stressful environment on time sensitive issues.
