    This position is part of the National Archives and Records Administration. As a CONSERVATOR TECHNICIAN,you will focus on preparation of documents for 3-year planned digitization project, perform conservation treatment of moderate to high complexity on archival records that are unique and of moderate to high value. Incumbent will also develop creative solutions for housing archival records in varying condition and format.

    As a Conservator Technician, you will:

    -Perform treatment on groups of archival records and develops safe and efficient mechanisms for handling multiple items.

    -Document treatments performed via checklists and narrative reports. Photographic documentation carried out as necessary.

    -Handle archival records and performs all conservation treatment in conformance with procedures and standards established by the supervisory conservator.

    -Maintain laboratory stock solutions and supplies.
