Duties

Help
  • Manages all aspects of training and continuing legal education, certification, administration, and readiness of personnel serving in multiple legal offices.
  • Manages facilities, technology, and logistics in support of legal operations.
  • Manages all personnel and physical security actions to ensure personnel is 100% operations and region abides to security requirements.
  • Formulates the development of general internal administrative procedures and policy.

  • Must complete the How the Army Runs Course, Fort Belvoir, VA within 24 months of appointment, unless employee has previously attended this course.
  • Must complete the Knowledge Management Course, Fort Leavenworth, KS within 36 months of appointment unless employee has previously attended this course.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of Specialized Experience equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service includes: providing legal operations and management advice in areas such as; personnel management, resource management; security management, knowledge management; and legal systems integration; formulating the development of general internal administrative procedures and policies; managing training and continuing legal education and readiness of personnel.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Education

  • This position is a term position and may be extended up to a maximum of eight years.This position may be converted to permanent career or career-conditional appointment without further competition as long as all requirements are met. To be eligible for conversion, employee must complete at least 2 years of current continuous service under a term appointment in the competitive service AND employee must have a current performance rating under such term appointment of at least fully successful or equivalent.
